- Root Crops & Vegetables - Root crops are typically grown in lighter soil that is particularly responsive to the nutrients contained in the organic matter within compost.
- Grassland - Adding compost to grassland areas is an excellent way of boosting the nutrients required for optimum root growth.
- Established Root Crops - When a deep compost mulch is applied onto rows of established fruit (either top fruit or soft fruit), nutrients are washed down into the soil and weeds are suppressed.
